In the shelter’s words
DOB: 8/18/2023 Brooks doesn't need your help. He didn't ask to be here, and he wants you to know that upfront. He's a man of few words — mostly just a slow blink that somehow communicates both "I tolerate you" and "bring me food, but not too much of it." He has no interest in loud noises, unnecessary affection, or anyone who talks too much. He will not be picked up on your schedule. He is suspicious of visitors and maintains a dignified distance from chaos of any kind. No drama, no enthusiasm — just efficiency. However — and this is important — Brooks has developed a signature move. He will find you, settle in nearby, and sit. Not on you. Not demanding anything. Just... present. Close enough to let you know he's chosen you. Far enough to maintain his dignity. It's the Brooks way, and frankly, it's an honor. He does not need to be the center of attention. He does not require constant entertainment. He simply needs a calm, quiet home where his personal space is respected and his proximity is appreciated. If you're looking for a velcro cat, Brooks is not your guy. But if you're looking for a steady, self-possessed companion who will show up for you in his own quiet way — Brooks has already picked out his spot on the couch next to yours. Come meet me at the Kitty Bubble Cafe! A minimum visit of 25 minutes must be purchased in order to meet me in the Cat Lounge. 55 minute visits are $15.00 and 25 minute visits are $10.00. Spots are not guaranteed so reservations are highly recommended! To make a reservation, visit: https://kittybubblecafereservation.as.me/schedule.php Kitty Bubble Cafe & Bar is located at 5566 N High St. Columbus, OH 43214 All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**

We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $125 for kittens 6 months and younger; $75 for kittens over 6 months and adults up to 7 years; $50 for 7 years and older. If adopting 2 kittens/cats at the same time there is a $25 discount. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), microchip, flea prevention, vaccinations (FVRCP for cats and DHLPP for dogs), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies are old enough to receive a rabies vaccine). If not, the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done.
