Meet Sawyer — Devoted, Fetch-Obsessed, and Looking for a Savvy Home Fostered in Plymouth, IN | 3 Years Old | Border Collie Mix Sawyer is a loving, loyal dog with a huge heart for his people. With those he knows and trusts, he’s affectionate, gentle, and incredibly devoted. He’s also a pretty calm boy overall — unless you bring out a tennis ball. Then he turns into a fetch machine! Sawyer does need a specific kind of home, one that understands boundaries, management, and advocating for a sensitive dog. What to know about Sawyer: Very affectionate with his people — forms deep bonds LOVES to fetch — truly his favorite thing in life Not good with unfamiliar people He has to be properly managed around strangers Needs slow, structured introductions and a home that will set clear boundaries Good with familiar dogs Can be reactive or rude with unfamiliar dogs Seems fine with cats ️ Calm overall when he feels safe and understood Sawyer is a good boy who wants nothing more than a person (or family) he can trust completely. In the right home — one experienced with sensitive dogs and comfortable managing introductions — he will thrive as a loyal, loving, deeply bonded companion.
