In the shelter’s words
Meet Precious!Precious is a sweet senior who was found as a stray near Glendale Arena, and she quickly captured our hearts. She joined Rotten Rottie Rescue in March 2025, and after spending more than a year in our care, we’re hoping it’s finally her turn to find the loving forever home she deserves. While she may not have any Rottweiler in her DNA, she’s the definition of a lovable super mutt! Precious has a friendly, social personality and loves being around people. True to her name, she is absolutely precious- gentle, affectionate, and happiest when she’s spending time with her humans and soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She also gets along well with some other dogs.Precious is an easy-going girl who is happy to go with you wherever life takes you. She enjoys playing ball, but she is just as content relaxing right next to her people. She simply wants to be part of your life, whether that means going on adventures or just hanging out by your side. She was found alongside a husky mix we affectionately named Fluffy, who has since found her forever home with one of our amazing volunteers.Precious has so much love to give and deserves the chance to experience life in a loving home. After spending more than a year waiting, we know she’s more than ready for a family to call her own. If you’re not quite ready to commit to adoption, fostering is a wonderful way to help while getting to know her and seeing if she’s the right fit for your family. If you’re looking to add a sweet, affectionate companion to your life, Precious may be the perfect match. Please reach out if you’d like to learn more about Precious or are interested in fostering or adopting her. Together, we can give this wonderful girl the second chance she deserves.Adoption Process:If you are interested in adopting one of our fun-loving, "not-so-rotten" Rotties, you will be asked to fill out our adoption application which allows us to get to know you better. This ensures the dog you are interested in is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our Adoption Application by visiting our website at www.rottenrottie.com (http://www.rottenrottie.com/), clicking on Adopt a Rottweiler Adoption Application, and submitting the form online. After reviewing your answers, if we feel the dog you are interested in is not a match for your family, we may recommend a different Rottweiler companion. Once we determine which dog is best for you, we will schedule a meeting at their current home, where they feel most comfortable and act naturally. We require a home check to ensure each dog is going to a safe environment. To finalize the process, an adoption contract must be signed. We also require a rehoming fee, which is typically $500 for most adults and $350 for seniors (6 years and older) or Rottweiler mixes of any age (excluding puppies). Fees for puppies fluctuate depending on the investment required for the litter and whether they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary for our organization to continue rehoming Rottweilers in need. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and have tested negative for heartworms. Each dog comes with a collar and a leash. We also address any injuries or illnesses they had upon arrival or developed in foster care; any such conditions will be fully disclosed to the adopter prior to the adoption. Please Note: In almost all cases, we do not adopt to out-of-state applicants. On rare occasions, if we feel it is a perfect match for both you and the dog, we may make an exception for our neighbors in Las Vegas. If you live in Las Vegas and would like to be considered, please fill out our adoption application.

Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $400 for most adults, $250 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption.
