In the shelter’s words
Meet Charlotte – A Strong, Resilient Beauty Ready for Her Forever Home! Charlotte is a brave and beautiful torbie cat with striking yellow-green eyes and a heart full of quiet love. Torbie cats have both tortie coloring and tabby patterns, which makes them extra unique! This sweet young kitty has spent the last few months being an amazing and devoted mama to her kittens, but now it’s her turn to find a home where she can finally relax, be spoiled, and enjoy life to the fullest!Charlotte is a true survivor—she spent years navigating the tough streets of Chicago, relying on her sharp instincts to stay safe. Because of her past, she may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, you’ll get to see her sweet and gentle side. She enjoys being near her people, accepting pets on her own terms, and simply soaking in the comfort of a safe home. She may not be a lap cat, but she expresses love in her own quiet way. She gets along well with other cats and small dogs, making her a great fit for a multi-pet household. This independent girl loves her alone time, but she also enjoys simple pleasures like lounging by the window to sunbathe, watching fish swim in an aquarium, or curling up in a cozy cardboard box. She occasionally likes to play and will bat around small toys, but mostly she likes to just relax…and we think she’s earned it!Charlotte is looking for a patient and understanding home that will give her the space and time she needs to blossom at her own pace. If you appreciate the quiet, independent love of a cat who has seen the world and is now ready to settle down in a loving home, Charlotte might just be the perfect feline companion for you. Can you give her the loving forever home she craves? Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $3 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or
