In the shelter’s words
11/1/2026Hope II is an owner surrender looking for a new home.Hi! My name is Hope II! I am a beautiful 3 month old flashy fawn puppy! I am an owner surrender due to being rescued, nursed back to health after having Parvo, and my caretakers rescued me to find a good home! I am described as friendly, active, smart, and playful! I live with another dog and am said to be dog friendly! There are no kids in my home but I have met the neighbor 3 and 5 year old kids and play with them and am kid friendly! I have never lived with a cat so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly! Because I am a puppy, I am still learning house and crate training manners. At night I sleep in a crate in the humans room and if the humans must be away, I will whine for a minute and then take a nap. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates! Loud noises startle me but I love riding in the car, elk horns, playing with other dogs, playing with the humans, exploring, sniffing at everything, and taking naps! If you are looking for a precious girl, look no further! Contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!

Plan a visit with the source organization
The Process to adopt a dog through Austin Boxer Rescue is as follows: Fill out an Online Adoption Application below. Your application will be reviewed and sent to a volunteer in your area. The volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit within one week. Normally, a volunteer would come to your house for a home visit, but until further notice, visits are being done virtually. After your home visit is complete and you are approved you can begin meeting dogs. The Adoption Coordinator will assist you in this process. Please note: The application process begins immediately once an application is submitted and approvals tend to occur quickly. Please do not submit an application unless you are ready to take home a dog. ABR does not have the space or capability to hold dogs, therefore, dogs are adopted out on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you are not able to proceed with a home visit when contacted by an ABR volunteer then your application will be filed away. We will ask you to resubmit your application if you wish to adopt later date. Every dog adopted will have the following: Current on vaccinations and dewormed Spayed or neutered Will be micro chipped Will be treated for heartworms and/or on heartworm prevention Any additional medical problems will be treated and paid for by the rescue.
