In the shelter’s words
If waking up to snuggles and sweet, scratchy kitten kisses sounds like your idea of a perfect morning, then Able may be your guy! Able has come a long way in his short life. He was born outside, but you’d never know it now — he has completely embraced the safe, cozy indoor life and has no intention of looking back! He absolutely loves playing with his foster brothers and sister, so his new home must have another young, playful kitty to keep him company. Able is a bundle of fun with plenty of energy to burn. Bring out the teaser toy or laser pointer and watch him go! He’s quite the little athlete and takes his playtime very seriously. Of course, all that hard work requires compensation… preferably in the form of treats. When playtime is over, Able is happy to switch gears and show off his softer side. He is loving, affectionate, and always ready for some quality cuddle time with his people. He would do well in a home with cat-friendly dogs and older children who understand how to be gentle with a kitten. With his playful personality, affectionate nature, and impressive snuggle skills, Able is ready to leave his foster home behind and become someone’s very special companion. Could you be his forever family? If you would like to meet Able, please visit the following link to fill out an application. https://www.kingstreetcats.org/info/adoption

When a person comes to the adoption center or mobile site, they fill out an application and a volunteer interview them and ask about your cat knowledge and experience as well as other pets. Applications go through an approval process. We help match the cat with each family according to home environment and lifestyle. Some adult cats may be adopted singly, but we prefer to adopt out kittens in pairs unless adopters have a playful cat or dog already in residence to keep the kitten company. Once a cat is adopted an adoption contract is completed. King Street Cats asks for a $125 non-refundable adoption fee to adopt a cat or kitten, or $225 to adopt two. All cats has been to a vet and tested for FELV/FIV. Adult cats are up-to-date on vaccinations. Kittens will have had vaccinations appropriate for their age. All cats & kittens are spayed or neutered before they are placed for adoption.
