In the shelter’s words

APRIL 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you fr SERGEANT BECKER and his 3 brothers (SERGEANT JEFFREY " JACK " MUMFORD, SERGEANT STEVENS and DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS) were found by the side of a freeway. Our trapper friend could not find a rescue. They had to live in a kitty tent in someone's backyard. When she told us, we frantically got them here. SERGEANT BECKER is with our rescue now and is ready to be adopted. Meet SERGEANT BECKER, a cat with a personality as large as his name suggests. This sweet soul is a blend of bravery and shyness, often seen embarking on playful adventures around the rescue, yet still appreciating his quiet moments. His curiosity is endless, always eager to explore new toys or corners. SERGEANT BECKER's mellow demeanor is balanced by his goofy antics that never fail to bring laughter. His intelligence shines through his independent spirit, yet he's always ready to tumble with one of his kitten friends. SERGEANT BECKER, with his unique blend of qualities, is waiting to bring joy, laughter, and companionship to his forever home. SERGEANT BECKER is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX . He is about 2 years and 6 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children and seems non-reactive to dogs. SERGEANT BECKER is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET and GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below: ****Please note we only have cats physically in MURRIETA and INDUSTY ONLY. But we can do meet and greets at all 5 locations listed below.**** PETSMART - 17651 Colima Rd, City Of Industry, California 91748 PETSMART - 2153 W Florida Ave, Hemet, California 92545 PETSMART - 25290 Madison Ave, Murrieta, California 92562 PETSMART - 34900 Monterey Ave, Palm Desert, California 92211 PETSMART - 2851 Eastland Center Dr, West Covina, CA 91791 The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet and greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************ If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient. SERGEANT BECKER is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS. If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask! If you have any questions not covered here, please feel free to email us: Workinwhiskers2020@hotmail.com
