Hi, I'm Lucille. I flew into the yard of my rescuers in between Bass Lake and North Fork, CA. Yes, I'm a little off the beaten path as a foster, but there are bird-peeps everywhere who will step up to protect us littles when they can. Sadly I still prefer seed to pellets, so my mom mixes seed, plain pellets and avi-cakes in my bowl. I eat most of the Avi-cakes, drop all of the pellets, and devour the seeds. Not interested in any fruits and veggies so far. However, as I have gotten more comfortable at my foster home I have become FEARLESS! I thrive on being able to fly around the house. I have decided my foster home's 6 lb dog is my friend and will continuously try to land on her! Mom has to be careful to keep us apart but I breach those boundaries every day, so if you have a bigger dog, I may not be the sweet bird for you. I will step up inside my cage for millet in a heartbeat. We are working on me doing that outside the cage as well.
