In the shelter’s words

Some dogs dream of being the center of attention. Hugh Jackman? He's moreinterested in following his nose to see what exciting discoveries arewaiting around the next corner! This handsome 1-year-old Australian CattleDog mix is an independent young guy who enjoys exploring the world one sniffat a time. Hugh walks nicely and loosely on leash, making him a wonderful companion forneighborhood strolls or outdoor adventures. He’s still learning “sit” — slowly but surely getting it! —but he's very gentle when taking treats and would likely love learning newskills with a little patience, positive reinforcement, and a pocket full ofsnacks. When it comes to other dogs, Hugh has shown friendly interest through thefence, so a meet-and-greet with any potential canine siblings isrecommended. If you're looking for a smart, curious companion who enjoys life's littleadventures and is ready to find a family of his own, Hugh Jackman is readyto step into the starring role as your new best friend!
