In the shelter’s words
Starting October 6, all cats and kittens are FREE to adopt! Come find your new best friend today! Your New Favorite Part of the Day Is Waiting for You! Meet Radar, a 1-year-old tabby who came to us as an owner surrender when his family could no longer care for him. Despite this big change in his life, Radar has remained a happy, affectionate cat who is ready to find a forever home of his own.Radar is the kind of cat you'll look forward to seeing after a long day. Whether you're settling onto the couch to relax or getting ready for bed, he's happy to be right there with you, soaking up attention and sharing plenty of cuddles. His sweet, loving personality makes him an easy cat to adore. When he's not spending time with his people, Radar is always ready for some fun. He enjoys playtime and has a cheerful, easygoing attitude that brightens every room he enters. With his big personality and even bigger heart, he's sure to become the best part of your day, and maybe even your week.Radar gets along well with cats, has previously lived with dogs without any issues, and is good with kids, making him a wonderful fit for many different families. If you're looking for a friendly, affectionate companion who will greet you with love and make every day a little brighter, Radar is ready to help you find your way home. ❤️Radar's adoption fee is $50, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive! Plan a visit with the source organization
Once you’re ready to adopt, head over to our Adoption Application to fill out and submit the form. Once our Adoption Team has reviewed and approved your application, we will give you a call to schedule an appointment with the pet! When you arrive at ACSKC, you will be greeted by our Adoption Coordinator and taken to meet the pet, either in our Meet and Greet Room or one of the play yards. If you already have pets in the home, you may be asked to bring them with you for a meet and greet to ensure they will get along in the home (this typically only applies to dogs). If you and our Adoption Coordinator feel like it is a good match, we will then finalize the paperwork and send you home with a bag of goodies, including our “Welcoming Your New Pet Home Guide,” toys, treats and a sample bag of their pet food. If it is not a good match, you are welcome to meet the other available pets in the shelter. Your approved application will be kept on file for 90 days, so you’re encouraged to take your time before making a decision!
