In the shelter’s words

They say you’re only as old as you feel and, at 12, Delilah clearly hasn’t let a little thing like age slow her down! This English bulldog/boxer mix still has plenty of life and love to share, and she knows how to make the most of every day. Delilah is a real companion in every sense of the word. Affectionate and easygoing, she’s happy to settle beside you on the couch or stretch out at your feet while you read or work. A stroll around the neighborhood or a ride in the car? She’s up for that, too! Don’t let her senior status fool you. Delilah enjoys a good game of tug-of-war or fetch, and if you have other dogs, she’s quick to make friends and join in a romp around the yard. She also has a playful side that includes rolling on her back in the grass, a favorite pastime she brings indoors, too, especially when she’s hoping someone will oblige with a belly rub. Delilah is healthy, well behaved, and wonderfully adaptable. She could be just as happy with an active family as with someone looking for a devoted companion to share the quieter moments in life. She doesn’t need a lot of fuss. Just a comfortable place to land, someone to love, and a few good belly rubs along the way. Want to hear more straight from Delilah herself? Delilah’s adoption fee is just $100 and includes six months of heartworm prevention and a raised food and water bowl set. If you’re 55 or older, you qualify for our “Seniors for Seniors” program, which waives her adoption fee! Interested in giving this sweet senior a place to call home? Email us for more information or an adoption application. Delilah has plenty of love left to give, and she’d be delighted to share it with you.
