DOB: 2/28/2021 Meet Atlas! Although we're not positive he can read (or hold) a book of maps, we can assure you that he has an innate ability to find a comfy napping spot strategically located to maximize pph (pets per hour). Atlas has a reputation for expert lounging, being a chill guy, taking breakfast in bed, looking amazing in a bow tie (or tie), and staying up to date on the adoption center comings and goings. Although he may look like a grumpy old man at most angles, this dapper (not grumpy at all) gentleman is only 5 years old! After coming to Colony Cats as a stray on Valentine's day, Atlas has been trying to follow the map to a loving home. He has personally requested that if you know the address to his forever home, to please place it on a Colony Cats application. Once he knows the address, he will start mapping the route to the best napping spot while he waits for his ride! C ome meet me at the cage free Adoption Center!! Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.** Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection. FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered. We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $125 for kittens 6 months and younger; $75 for kittens over 6 months and adults up to 7 years; $50 for 7 years and older. If adopting 2 kittens/cats at the same time there is a $25 discount. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), microchip, flea prevention, vaccinations (FVRCP for cats and DHLPP for dogs), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies are old enough to receive a rabies vaccine). If not, the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done.
