In the shelter’s words
Dumpling Squash is a girl with a big personality and a little bit of a tough-girl attitude! Originally coming to us as a stray with her baby, this independent lady knows what she likes and isn't afraid to let you know. But underneath that sassy exterior is a loving, affectionate girl who enjoys attention and has plenty to say! Dumpling Squash is litter box trained and quite the talker, so don't be surprised if she strikes up a conversation with you throughout the day. She enjoys playing with cat toys, scratching on cardboard scratchers, and even going for walks! She's got her own special personality and will keep you entertained with her antics. Dumpling can do well with older children, but she'll need time to adjust and feel comfortable around them. She may also be able to share her home with another cat, but she's definitely selective about her feline friends! She can be a little bossy with cats she doesn't care for, so any kitty housemate will need to be a good match. It's important that she have her own safe, quiet space to retreat to when she needs some alone time, separate from the other cat.Dumpling Squash would do best in a calmer home where she can settle in at her own pace, enjoy her independence, and receive plenty of love and attention when she's ready. She's a girl who appreciates having her boundaries respected, and in return, she'll reward her people with affection, conversations, and lots of personality! If you're looking for a unique, loving, talkative companion with a little sass and a whole lot of charm, Dumpling Squash might just be your girl! Plan a visit with the source organization
If a particular pooch has caught your eye or if youâre searching for a new furry family member, take a few minutes to complete our online adoption application or stop by our Adoption Events to visit with our adoptable pups. Our application review team will contact you as they process your application and check with your references. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received, but our primary responsibility is to find the best home for each individual dog and the best match for you and your family regardless of application order. We want to see that every animal and family are well-suited as a forever match. Our adoption fees vary by the animalâs age and specific breed. All adopted dogs will receive vaccinations against distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus, as well as flea/tick treatments and de-worming. Dogs who are too young to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated against rabies will receive vouchers to one of our local veterinary partners. Please contact us with any additional questions! We are available by phone at 847-566-6799, through our website, or through direct messaging on Facebook. Weâre happy to answer any questions and work with you as you search for your new family member!
