In the shelter’s words
Meet Sweet Ellie! Ellie is a petite sweetheart with the cutest little meow and an incredibly affectionate personality. The moment someone walks through the door, Ellie perks right up to say hello! She absolutely loves being petted, and as soon as the attention begins, so do the purrs and biscuits. Ellie is wonderfully affectionate and has a way of completely melting into a gentle touch. And just to make her even more adorable, she has a tiny dot-shaped birthmark that gives her an extra-special little charm. Ellie would be happy to have another friendly cat in her forever home, but she is also easygoing and can be perfectly content as an only cat. As long as she has a cozy place to lounge, a sunny window to enjoy, and someone to love, Ellie will be one happy girl. And there's even more to love: Ellie absolutely LOVES dogs! Ellie has been spayed, flea-treated, dewormed, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. With her sweet little meow, endless purrs, adorable biscuits, and affectionate nature, Ellie is ready to bring plenty of love into a forever home. To learn more or apply to adopt Ellie, please email nycatcoaladopt@yahoo.com or call Joan at (718) 671-1695. An online adoption form is also available - click here to apply.

Plan a visit with the source organization
We wish to place cats only in secure, safe, stable, loving homes, and we are very careful in our review of the applications. Potential Pet-parents fill out an Adoption Application, we review the application, call the applicant, schedule a time for them to visit our cats. We check their references, call their veterinarian, and verify that their backup person who would take the cats if something happened to the adopter is on board. Then a Foster Agreement is completed. When all parties are happy, after about 2 weeks, we have the finalized Adoption Agreement sent to us.
