In the shelter’s words
Meet Giacomo Giacomo is a dopey, lovable goofball who is basically a puppy trapped in an adult dog’s body! He has plenty of playful puppy energy and would love a home with a secure yard where he can explore, romp, and burn off some of that enthusiasm. This sweet boy loves being close to his person and is happiest when he can be your little shadow. He walks well on a leash and is friendly when people approach him. Giacomo is the kind of dog who will keep you smiling with his silly personality and playful antics. While Giacomo has a lot of love to give, he can be easily spooked by unfamiliar things and situations. He’ll need a patient person who can help him build confidence, experience new things at his own pace, and learn that the world isn’t so scary. With gentle guidance, positive experiences, and plenty of encouragement, Giacomo has so much potential to blossom into a confident companion. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, playful dog who wants to be by your side, and you’re willing to help him discover his confidence, Giacomo might be your guy!PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN LONG BEACH, MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states. The application requests information about the potential family including their home and occupants, as well as requests a vet references. If you do not have a vet reference, please email photos of your home (and yard-if you are adopting a dog) to adoptions@forpetssakerescue.org after completing an application. Local Gulf Coast Adopters: You must complete an application to proceed. We have a private facility. We will schedule a Meet and Greet with you once your application has been approved. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption. We know these animals on a personal level and make judgement calls with their best interest at heart. Out of State Adopters: Complete an application, include a government issued photo ID with current address or an article of mail going to your current address in your name. We will not begin the application process without proper identification on file. Once approved, we will contact you to review pet information, personality, transport dates and locations.
