TEX NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Tex Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix Best Guess for Age: 10 months as of 10/14/26 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 36 lbs as of 7/28/26 - he is still growing1 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Check out this video of Tex: https://youtube.com/shorts/17LPnYKgGsw. Special adoption considerations: In certain home settings -- where the environment might be loud or more intense -- Tex would do better with another dog in the home to give him confidence.Tex is Looking For: His forever home! This young boy is not long out of puppyhood and is eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks romps and all the adventures they can dream up. - he hasn't seen nearly enough of the world! And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. (Making pup pals along the way would be great!) And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is Tex the one you see by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Tex is a great dog who loves playing with other dogs, going for walks, and spending quiet time in his crate, on the couch, or in his favorite sunny spot on our porch. He is a shy boy with people but after a week of routine he is comfortable lying next to us on couches and taking treats from hand. He does well on leash and is very content in his crate. When I have had to leave him in his crate while no one is in the house he goes in easily and has done an entire work day when needed. He is a very special pup with a lot of love to give to the people who earn his trust and give him the safe and loving home he deserves! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
