In the shelter’s words
Currently located at our Owensboro, KY location Meet Bones Jones, a 5-year-old, 51-pound Pit Bull mix who has already overcome more than any dog should have to endure.Bones came to us as a stray with painful facial injuries, including lacerations to his lip and mouth and a ruptured blood vessel in his eye. But despite everything he had been through, this sweet boy continued to show love and trust.Today, Bones is HEALED and READY for his forever home! Let's talk Pit Bull awareness! Behind the labels and stereotypes are individual dogs with their own personalities, needs, and hearts. Bones is a reminder that a dog's past doesn't define his future. He deserves to be known for who he is, not what people assume about his breed. Bones' adoption wish list: Pit Bull mix, 5 years old 51 pounds of love Fully vetted Would do best as the only petBones is looking for someone who will give him what every dog deserves: love, safety, full meals, cozy beds, and a family who will never give up on him. He has been through enough. Now it's his turn to be someone's beloved companion! Help us spread awareness, challenge stereotypes, and share Bones' story! His forever family could be just one share away. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
