In the shelter’s words
Well, hello there! I'm Cluckeinstein, a rooster with a mind that's simply electri-frying! I may not have invented the lightbulb, but I'm certainly bright enough to know that every great scientist needs a laboratory... and every great rooster needs a forever home! Whether I'm conducting important experiments in the dirt, investigating mysterious chicken feed, or pondering the meaning of the universe from my favorite perch, there's never a dull moment when I'm around. I'm searching for a place where I can let my curiosity run wild, stretch my legs, and continue my groundbreaking research in the fine art of being a rooster. All I need is a safe space to call my own and someone who appreciates a little mad-scientist energy in their life! Call 831-373-2631 to set an appointment, or meet me at the SPCA Barn today! The SPCA strongly encourages Adoption Holds to ensure I will be waiting to meet you when you arrive. The barn is closed for lunch from 12pm - 1pm.

Plan a visit with the source organization
1. Visit the SPCA at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway across from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. 2. Visit with the pet you are interested in adopting to see if his personality fits your lifestyle. If you are adopting a dog, you can meet him in one of our new dog condo rooms or play in one of our play yards. 3. Complete family introductions (every member of the family living in the house with the animal must meet and visit with the animal prior to adoption to ensure a happy fit for everyone). 4. If you are adopting a new dog and already have one at home, our animal care staff will assist you with introducing your current dog to the dog you are hoping to adopt to ensure a good match. 5. The SPCA adoption process takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. All paperwork, vaccination records, and microchip information will be provided at this time. Adoption fees range from $20 to $290. 6. Take your new lifelong family member home!
