Breed: Shepherd X DOB: 8/2021 Gender: male Altered: yes Coat: medium Size: large Color(s): tan/black/white Description: ***Needs a Foster Home*** This dog is in need of a foster home as well as a permanent home. If you are interested in fostering please fill out an online foster application. Hi, I'm Otis, a very sweet and loving Shepherd X, found as a stray. No one came to claim me so I'm now waiting for my forever family to come and take me homeI love people and older children. I walk great on leash, do great in play groups with other dogs with my same energy level and great in pack walks. I can be a little dog reactive on the way out of the kennel, but I might be ok with another dog in the home if we're well suited. If you have a fur baby in the home already, please bring him/her along so we can do a meet and greet.I've been fortunate to go offsite a few times to go on hikes, the park, the beach, and other fun places. I have excellent manners and once I'm given the chance to be away from the noisy kennel I thrive.I hope you have a strong arm as I love playing fetch. I also love to snuggle. When the weather is hot I enjoy cooling off in the kiddie pools CARL provides. If you have time and energy for me, please fill out an online application to meet me.*Thank you to Sharon for sponsoring this wonderful dog at the Burnice Kraemer Sanctuary and giving him the chance for a better life.

Plan a visit with the source organization
1. Before making your selection, please consider the following. https://www.pawsandlearn.org/contact After reading, select a dog that interests you and fits your lifestyle. For puppies under 11 months old, children in the home must be at least 6 years old. 2. Everyone in the household needs to spend some time interacting with the dog. If you already have a dog in your household, please bring your dog over to meet the dog you’ve selected. All dogs and people in the home must meet the dog you’ve selected. 3. Fill out an adoption application form (note: filling out an application DOES NOT guarantee an adoption). 4. An Adoption Counselor will review the application. Upon approval of the application, you will be contacted to submit pictures/videos to confirm that the fencing and gates are secure, and the yard is safe for the dog. 5. No dog is ever adopted from the program without a home check. 6. If more than one application is submitted for a given dog, our adoption committee will select the home that is best suited for the dog’s needs. 7. The entire adoption process can take up to one week. 8. The adoption process is concluded when an Adoption Contract is completed and the non-refundable adoption fee is paid. 9. Our non-refundable adoption fees per dog are: $300 for puppies up to 6 months old $250 for puppies over 6 months old and under 1 yr old $225 for dogs 1 yr old and under 8 yrs old $175 for senior dogs 8 yrs old and up If you can increase the adoption fee for the dog you are adopting, please do so. Any amount over the adoption fee is tax-deductible. If you cannot, please remember us during the holiday gift giving season and for donations of dog toys, dog beds, blankets and other items all rescue groups need. But most importantly PLEASE remember to tell your friends who FALL IN LOVE with your dog (because they will) to ADOPT, don't breed or buy.
