In the shelter’s words
Meet Lady Marmalade and Admiral Apricot, a bonded duo of about a year old who are looking for their happily-ever-after together. Admiral is the dapper orange gentleman of the pair — a little braver, a little bolder, and a devoted connoisseur of windowsills and sunbeams (a good patch of afternoon light is, in his expert opinion, the finest thing life has to offer). Lady is his calico counterpart: sweet, soft-spoken, and quietly in charge in the way only a calico can be. When dinnertime rolls around, it's Lady who pads over to her sun-drunk Admiral and gives a gentle little mew to let him know — and off they trot to eat side by side. They're both on the shy side, but they blossom in each other's company: they eat together, play together, and find comfort in their shared world. The right home for these two is a patient one — somewhere calm and loving, with a sunny window or two and people who understand that the best things (like the trust of a shy cat) are worth the wait. Give them a little time, and you'll be rewarded with two of the most devoted, charming, soft-hearted little companions you could ask for. --------------------- Admiral Apricott is a handsome buff gentleman with a soft heart. He can be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time and patience and his sweet personality starts to shine through. Once he feels safe, Admiral Apricott enjoys gentle pets and quiet company. This mellow boy would do best in a calm home where he can take his time settling in and building trust with his people. If you’re looking for a kind, sensitive companion to share your space (and maybe a sunny window), Admiral Apricott may be the perfect first mate for you. If you'd like to meet this cat or think this cat would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.trentoncats.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt!

Plan a visit with the source organization
1. Ensure that you understand and are willing and capable of taking on the responsibility of a new pet. 2. Fill out the adoption form (found on website). This can be done online or downloaded and printed out. 3. Contact Trenton Cats Rescue so we can have a brief conversation with you to determine your needs and preferences, find out about your daily schedule, and talk about your previous experience with pets. 4. For renters, check with your landlord to ensure that cats are permitted and that you would not be violating any pet restrictions. 5. We can help determine which cat best fits with your lifestyle or you can visit with one or more that most interest you. 6. We will do one or more follow up calls after the adoption to check how things are going and address any concerns you may have. Adoption fees generally range from $100.00 to $125.00 and vary mostly by the cats age. We also have events that sometimes offer lowered adoption costs. It's a good idea to keep checking back on our website and to "friend" us on Facebook to keep up to date on our events.
