In the shelter’s words

Meet Max, a distinguished senior gentleman with a heart of gold and a soft spot for cozy laps! Max is at a point in his life where he truly appreciates the finer things: warm snuggles, delicious treats, and being pampered like the king he is. While he’s happy to do a gentle patrol around the yard to stretch his paws, his absolute favorite mode of transportation is being carried around by his favorite human. Why You’ll Fall for Max Social Butterfly: Max hasn't met a stranger yet! He genuinely loves every person and dog he meets, making him a gentle, friendly addition to almost any home. House-Trained Habits: While rescues never make absolute guarantees, Max has been showing off his great manners and knows that "business" is meant for outside. Treat Connoisseur: Want to win his heart forever? A small, tasty treat will make you his best friend instantly. A Quick Health Note Like many wonderful small-breed seniors, Max has a slight heart murmur. However, nobody told him that—he doesn't let it slow him down or dampen his sweet spirit for a second! It’s just a tiny detail in an otherwise precious package. Could you be the safe haven this sweet boy has been searching for? If you have a warm lap, a gentle touch, and a little extra love to give a deserving senior pup, Max is ready to lounge his way right into your heart.Adoption Fee $325
