In the shelter’s words
Meet Theo A Gentle Soul Looking for a Patient, Loving Home!! Theo came to us from another rescue that asked for help and while we don't know much about his past, its clear that life hasn't always been kind to him. Despite that, Theo is one of the sweetest, most gentle dogs you could ever meet. This handsome boy has a tender heart. He takes treats ever so gently, loves his toys, and is wonderfully quiet he's not much of a barker at all. Theo is also crate trained and finds comfort in having his own safe space. Right now, Theo thinks the world can be a pretty scary place. Because of that, he will need a patient and understanding family willing to let him move at his own pace and help him build confidence. A calm home, paired with a commitment to working with a behavioral trainer, will help him truly blossom into the happy dog we know he can be. One thing that makes a huge difference for Theo? Another dog. He absolutely thrives with a confident, friendly canine companion who can show him the ropes and help him feel safe enough to come out of his shell. With another dog around, Theo begins to relax, play, and show his joyful side - its truly beautiful to watch. Theo is currently living with older children (7+), and he does well with them because they understand how to be gentle, respectful, and give him space. He will need a home where everyone honors his need to come to you for affection on his own terms. As for other animals -Theo has even been around chickens and leaves them completely alone! Squirrels, on the other hand... those are a bit more exciting in his eyes. Theo is incredibly sweet, adorable, and so deserving of a second chance. He just needs someone willing to show him that the world can be safe, kind, and full of love. If you have the patience, compassion, and heart to help Theo heal and grow, he will reward you in the most beautiful ways. Ready to give Theo the life he's always deserved?
