In the shelter’s words

Some puppies are sweet. Some are smart. Some are hilarious. Norma Jean decided there was absolutely no reason she couldn’t be all three. Born in March 2026, this adorable Heeler girl is bursting with personality and has an infectious enthusiasm for just about everything. She’s curious, clever, confident, and always ready to join in whatever fun might be happening. Whether she’s playing with her doggie friends, investigating the yard, or having an entire conversation with her humans, Norma Jean approaches life with her whole heart. And yes—we said conversation. This girl has opinions, and she isn’t afraid to share them! Norma Jean loves chatting with her people and has even been known to continue her little conversations in her sleep. Apparently, there simply aren’t enough waking hours in the day to say everything she has to say. Norma Jean absolutely loves other dogs and is happiest when she has a buddy who shares her enthusiasm for a good romp. Running, wrestling, chasing and playing are all high on her list of favorite things. We think a fun-loving canine companion would be a wonderful match for her and give her someone to share all of her puppy adventures with. But if you really want to see Norma Jean living her best life, turn on the water hose. This girl transforms into her own one-dog water park—chasing the spray, splashing around, and attempting to catch every drop she possibly can. Watching her have that much fun is almost as entertaining as participating. Quick Facts Adorable young Heeler Smart, curious & eager to learn Loves playing with other dogs ❤️ Would love a playful canine companion Water-hose enthusiast extraordinaire ️ An adorable little conversationalist—even in her sleep! She’ll flourish with a family who enjoys spending time with their dog and is excited to continue helping this smart little girl learn and grow. Whether she’s joining you for an adventure, wrestling with her canine bestie, chasing the water hose, or telling you all about her day, Norma Jean has a way of making ordinary moments a whole lot more fun. She’s ready to find her people, her playmate, and preferably a backyard with a really good hose.
