In the shelter’s words

Meet Poppa – Your New Best Buddy and Resident Ball Champion!Handsome, athletic, affectionate, and bursting with personality, Poppa is a 4yo, neutered Staffy who brings plenty of enthusiasm to everything he does! This boy LOVES his ball, and we’re pretty sure he’d play fetch all day if you’d let him! He’s strong, playful, full of life, and has a sweet, loving side that’s every bit as big as his personality. He demonstrates no resource guarding and happily brings his ball (or balls - he loves to fit two in his mouth at once - to you, to throw some more!Poppa is a fun-loving, spirited young guy with so much potential. He’s smart, confident, and has a strong mind, which is part of what makes him such a character! He’s looking for someone who appreciates a dog with personality and is excited to channel all that energy and enthusiasm into something great. What would make Poppa’s perfect match? An experienced, active, dog-savvy person who enjoys working with dogs and understands the value of structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Poppa is a strong boy who will thrive with clear guidance, continued training, and someone committed to helping him succeed.Poppa has shown he may be selective about his canine friends, so he’ll need thoughtful introductions and someone who understands that not every dog needs to be a social butterfly. What Poppa has to offer is pretty special: a whole lot of love, endless entertainment, an enthusiastic playmate, and the opportunity to build an incredibly rewarding bond with a dog who has so much to give. He’s not looking for perfection, just someone who sees his potential, appreciates his personality, and is ready to make him part of their world. If you love a big-hearted, ball-obsessed dog with a little swagger and a lot of personality, Poppa just might be your guy!
