In the shelter’s words

Meet Scooter, a charming and easygoing male Green-Wing Macaw who's ready to find his next loving forever home! At just over 20 years young, Scooter is a true testament to the incredible bond a parrot can form with their human companions. He spent over two decades in his previous home, where he was deeply cherished, and now he's looking for a new family to share his life with. Scooter has a personality as vibrant as his feathers! He's a big fan of pine nuts, enjoys watching cartoons (he'll watch Looney Tunes for days), and absolutely adores his favorite person. You'll often hear him say "hello" in a variety of different voices, showcasing his playful and engaging nature. This handsome macaw loves to be part of the action and enjoys just hanging out with his people. While he's generally laid-back, like many parrots, Scooter isn't shy about letting you know when he wants more attention – he'll hang from the top of his cage and give a good scream to make sure you hear him! This is a common macaw trait and a sign of his desire for interaction. We're looking for an experienced and dedicated individual or family who understands the unique needs of a large parrot like a Green-Wing Macaw. Scooter needs a home where he'll receive plenty of social interaction, mental stimulation, and, of course, a steady supply of pine nuts! If you're ready to open your heart and home to a truly special companion, Scooter might just be the perfect fit. He has so much love to give and promises to fill your life with joy, laughter, and plenty of noise. If you're interested in learning more about Scooter and potentially offering him a home, please reach out!You can see more about me at https://mickaboo.org!
