In the shelter’s words
Meet Neo! This handsome 2-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix comes packed with personality and plenty of charm! He’s incredibly intelligent and already knows sit, paw, and lay down.Neo loves being outside, especially sniffing around in the grass with his adorable little prance. Fetch and tug-of-war are his favorite games, and he loves to play with enthusiasm! He can be pretty vocal when he gets excited, too.Neo can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you, he’s affectionate, loyal, and lots of fun. With other dogs, he enjoys playing but does best with calm, respectful friends who don't rush into his space upon meeting.Neo is looking for an adult-only home with someone willing to give him a little time to warm up. If you’re looking for a smart, playful companion with a big personality, Neo could be your guy!Current weight: 76 lb Adoption Fee: $250 To Apply: www.fcrspca.org/adopt

Plan a visit with the source organization
We require all interested families to come in to the shelter and meet the dog or dogs that they are interested in (unless they meet a dog at an adoption event). We have a very thorough application which they can fill out and return to the shelter - we do not provide applications on line. We check vet, personal, and landlord references (we require a signed letter from the landlord and confirmation via phone call that pets are allowed). When an application is approved, we set up a meet and greet if there are other animals in the household. If not, the kids are ready to go home. We encourage all potential adopters to spend as much time with the dog(s) as possible before they head home, and an adoption contract is signed before the dog(s) go(es) home.
