In the shelter’s words

Meet Magical, the sweetest (maybe) mama cat to 3 spooky kittens. Magical is basically a kitten herself, at only 5 months old! This girl is super curious and ready to play; she is often wrestling and playing with her kittens in her kennel here at the shelter. Since these kittens were strays, we are not 100% sure that Magical is the mother, but she sure loves them! Since Magical is still a kitten herself, we want her to go to a home as an indoor only cat so she can stay safe and show off her wonderous powers ( purring and cuddles). Magical is available for preadoption-- come meet her, fall in love, and take her home after her spay surgery! This cat's adoption fee is reduced by $20 due to the Bogey Fund - a fund that draws adopter's eyes towards often overlooked black cats in Shelters. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
