In the shelter’s words

Howzer is with our partner rescue in LA and can come to NJ with an approved foster or adopter. Meet Howzer! This sweet boy was found badly injured beneath someone’s home. He was broken, hurting, and in unimaginable pain, but even then, this brave pittie mix never growled or gave up. He seemed to know the people who found him were there to help. After surgery, rest, and a lot of love, Howzer is nearly healed and working hard to strengthen his back leg. He’s finally ready for the life he’s always deserved: a family, a soft bed, some canine friends to play with, and treats—because snacks are absolutely the way to this boy’s heart! Howzer adores other dogs, is always ready to play, and loves with his whole heart. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and is even well-behaved in the car. Howzer survived the hard part. Now let’s find him the beautiful forever home waiting on the other side. Howzer is fixed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $500. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
