In the shelter’s words
DOB: 1/19/26 Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.** ________________________________ Kitten Adoption Policy Kittens cannot be adopted as a solo pet, they must either go home with another kitten or join a home that already has a young, playful cat. If there are no other pets in the household, adoption of two littermates is required. Kittens thrive with a feline companion to help them learn, play, and develop healthy social skills. Learn more about Single Kitten Syndrome: https://furkids.org/blog/understanding-single-kitten-syndrome If you’re looking to adopt just one kitten, please ask us about kittens who came to us as singles and are comfortable being the only cat.

Plan a visit with the source organization
We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $125 for kittens 6 months and younger; $75 for kittens over 6 months and adults up to 7 years; $50 for 7 years and older. If adopting 2 kittens/cats at the same time there is a $25 discount. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), microchip, flea prevention, vaccinations (FVRCP for cats and DHLPP for dogs), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies are old enough to receive a rabies vaccine). If not, the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done.
