In the shelter’s words
Lefty came from a home that had too many dogs that received little socialization. He craves affection and accepts it, but will be very scared at first. He is still a little timid, but is getting more confident each day. Lefty loves to go on walks with the volunteers that he was once afraid of and it only took a couple visits for that to happen. He does great with the people that have taken the time to get to know him. He is a calm and gentle soul with lots of love to give. Lefty will be a wonderful dog for any patient person willing to work with him.

We have an adoption application that can be found on our website. Our adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $75 for cats, and $200 for Paws in Prison trained dogs. We ask for vet references and get all the information we can to determine if a person can adopt an animal from SCHS.
