In the shelter’s words

Meet Kori! This Doberman mix is a toy-loving, zoomie-powered, professional lap hog who believes life is one big adventure, preferably with her favorite humans by her side! Estimated to have been born in May 2026 and weighing about 40 pounds, Kori is a happy-go-lucky girl who loves people, gets along with dogs big and small, and has never met a toy she didn't want to investigate. Once she's gotten her wiggles out, she's more than happy to trade playtime for snuggles on the couch. Kori is a smart girl who already knows how to sit and is making great progress with house-training and leash skills. She does fantastic in her crate, loves playing fetch, and needs plenty of appropriate chew toys to keep that busy puppy brain occupied. She's got plenty of enthusiasm for life, so her bouncy, energetic personality may be a bit overwhelming for small children. Cats aren't her cup of tea, either, so she'll need a feline-free home. A dog friend could be a wonderful bonus! Kori would love a family ready for all the fun, laughter, and occasional puppy shenanigans that come with raising an energetic young dog. A fenced yard isn't required, but it would be a great place to burn off some of those famous zoomies. Most importantly, she needs people who will give her plenty of playtime, keep her busy, and save a spot on the couch for her inevitable snuggle sessions. She's more than ready to start her new career as your full-time best friend. Benefits include endless entertainment, enthusiastic greetings, and a very committed couch companion. Think Kori is the perfect addition to your family - apply today! Her minimum adoption fee is $300, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents if she is 4 months or older. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
