In the shelter’s words
Maya has the kind of joyful spirit that makes people stop and smile. With her long, model-esque legs, adorable Dachshund/Staffie mix looks, and larger-than-life personality, this beautiful girl is pretty hard to forget. Maya was found living in a homeless encampment with an injured foot, doing her best to navigate a life that hadn’t always been easy. Once she was safe and received the care she needed, Maya absolutely blossomed. Today, she greets life—and pretty much every person she meets—with enthusiasm, affection, and a whole lot of happiness. Quick Facts Adorable Dachshund/Staffie mix ❤️ Incredibly friendly, affectionate, and people-loving ☀️ Happy, playful, and full of joyful energy Does well with dogs of similar size and temperament Smart, responsive, and eager to please Takes direction and correction well Loves attention and isn't shy about showing her excitement Ready for adventures AND relaxing with her people ⭐ Resilient, loving, and wonderfully enthusiastic about life Located in Southern California Maya sometimes gets so excited to see her people that she forgets all four paws are supposed to stay on the ground—but she's eager to learn and genuinely wants to make her humans happy. With consistency and a little guidance, this smart girl has everything she needs to shine. Maya has already shown us just how beautifully a dog can blossom when given safety and love. Now she's ready for the best part of her story: a forever human who gets to be on the receiving end of all that happiness. Apply here if you could be Maya's perfect match! ❤️ We believe every dog deserves to be loved and safe.
