In the shelter’s words
Hello my name is Spot. I came to the SPCA because my owner could no longer care for me. I have lots of energy and love playing with toys! Are you looking for a running companion? Look no further-I'm your dog! I would do best as an only dog household! Looking to adopt but need one on one time before finalizing that life long decision? Good news, I qualify for our Foster to Adopt program! Call 831-373-2631 to learn more. I am eligible for a Doggy Day Out, apply at www.spcamc.org/day-out to take me on an outing!

Plan a visit with the source organization
1. Visit the SPCA at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway across from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. 2. Visit with the pet you are interested in adopting to see if his personality fits your lifestyle. If you are adopting a dog, you can meet him in one of our new dog condo rooms or play in one of our play yards. 3. Complete family introductions (every member of the family living in the house with the animal must meet and visit with the animal prior to adoption to ensure a happy fit for everyone). 4. If you are adopting a new dog and already have one at home, our animal care staff will assist you with introducing your current dog to the dog you are hoping to adopt to ensure a good match. 5. The SPCA adoption process takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. All paperwork, vaccination records, and microchip information will be provided at this time. Adoption fees range from $20 to $290. 6. Take your new lifelong family member home!
