In the shelter’s words
Age: 8 years Weight: 55 lbs Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: No Good with kids: Older, calm kids ok Activity level: Moderate Shedding: Moderate Training: Potty, Leash, Crate Bear is a super special pup. He is very shy and will likely always have a timid personality due to his early life and lack of proper socialization. He needs an owner with lots of patience that is just looking to help a dog with fear issues with new people. He does get attached to his special people as he is with his foster mom, but it can take some time to get there. He's a home body, loves to just play in his own securely fenced yard and he LOVES all other dogs. He would be a great companion for another dog and someone that lives a calm life. He would be too fearful of young children, but could befriend a teenager with a sweet nature. If Bear might find a special place in your compassionate heart, he'd love to join a family and put down some real roots. Email placement@duckteam6.org if you would consider giving Bear a chance.

Interested parties fill out an adoption application, we check vet and personal references, we set up a time for them to meet the dog and also do home visits. All adoptions have a 2 week trial period in which your adoption fee would be refunded if it turns out the dog is not a good fit for your family within that time period. If it doesn't work out at any time, the dog must be returned to us. Our fee is $250.
