In the shelter’s words

Meet Lillian (GA)! Lillian is a spayed female Labrador Retriever mix estimated to be 4 years old at the time of intake in February 2025. Lillian is a 44-lb lovebug who somehow missed the memo that life was supposed to make her grumpy — because she’s the exact opposite. She’s sweet, gentle, and friendly with people and dogs her size or smaller (cats are a firm “no thank you”). About this lovely lady:• Housebroken (perfect indoor manners)• Crate trained but enjoys spreading out in her bed• Walks = her favorite hobby (though still mastering the art of leash walks)• Would thrive with a dog her size or smaller (As always slow & proper intros to new dogs are recommended)• A fenced yard would be the dreamLillian once lost her fur due to a skin condition, but after meds and medicated baths, her coat is coming back beautifully — just look at her glow up photos. She’s a gentle soul who just needs a calm home and a little patience while she warms up. After that? Lifetime best friend status. Apply to foster or adopt at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.orgPlease be sure to reference this pet's name as Lillian (GA) in case of duplicate names within the rescue. Thank you! All pets are current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter. Lillian's adoption fee is $450.
