In the shelter’s words
I know why you stopped scrolling: you saw these big eyes and sweet face and you just had to know more. This is Ms. Kitty. She's a very special girl, and at this point she knows it! She'll follow you around the house, rubbing up against your legs and keeping you up-to-date on her current feelings with her chatty little meows. She's very playful and still a young cat, always exploring and enjoying the time she gets to spend out and about in the house. Feather toys and balls don't stand a chance against her, and we're pretty sure she recognizes the squeezable treat jar by the sound of the lid at this point. It's important to know that despite being beautiful and loving Ms. Kitty has also been aggressive in the past. We've worked with her veterinarian and with their help we found a medication that helps with her territorial anxiety. She's great at taking her medication with her food and it's been a game changer for her. She's still 100% Ms. Kitty but with help managing her emotions she's free to focus on enjoying life and less on feeling overwhelmed. Because of her temperament Ms. Kitty should only be adopted into a home with no kids and an experienced cat parent. While she's no longer territorially aggressive her adopter will have to learn her body language and understand when she's feeling overstimulated and needs her space. She's become friends and playmates with other cats in her foster home and would benefit from a buddy cat of a similar age, but being solo isn't a deal-breaker. What she needs most is an understanding adopter with whom she can share her life and her love. Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $3 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or
