In the shelter’s words
Meet Floyd! Looking for a sweet companion who will happily join you for car rides, curl up on the couch, and never turn down a good butt scratch? Floyd might be your guy.He is a lovable, affectionate dog who enjoys the simple things in life. He loves car rides, especially sitting by the window and watching the world go by. Whether you’re headed out on an adventure or just taking a leisurely drive, Floyd is happy to come along. At home, Floyd would be content spending time on the couch, soaking up affection and enjoying some well-deserved butt scratches. His playful side comes out for his favorite giggle ball, as he rolls it around for himself. One of our favorite things about Floyd is what happens when he catches an interesting scent. His teeth start chattering, and he scrunches up his face as he investigates, giving you a glimpse of his silly side.Floyd is ready to trade his shelter days for a cozy couch, a lifetime of car rides and cuddles.Current Weight: 55 lbsAdoption Fee: $250To apply: fcrspca.org/adopt

Plan a visit with the source organization
We require all interested families to come in to the shelter and meet the dog or dogs that they are interested in (unless they meet a dog at an adoption event). We have a very thorough application which they can fill out and return to the shelter - we do not provide applications on line. We check vet, personal, and landlord references (we require a signed letter from the landlord and confirmation via phone call that pets are allowed). When an application is approved, we set up a meet and greet if there are other animals in the household. If not, the kids are ready to go home. We encourage all potential adopters to spend as much time with the dog(s) as possible before they head home, and an adoption contract is signed before the dog(s) go(es) home.
