Brie is a 1-year-old sweet little calico girl and very outgoing. She is curious, confident, always first at the door when meals are offered or when interesting things are happening. Brie was rescued from a feral cat situation when she was a half-grown kitten. She loves being around people. But she is still a little shy of touch. She just needs the right person who has the time and patience to make her comfortable about being handled. In a cat-savvy, loving home, Brie will grow to be a cheerful, affectionate companion cat. Brie has lived with other cats but always wants to be first in line and tends to push other cats away from food or attention. She wants to be the star of the show and might do really well as an only cat in a home where people have plenty of time for her. You can visit Brie at Kingdom Animal Shelter during open hours on Saturdays from noon to 3pm. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a "same day" adoption shelter. All of our cats and kittens are up to date on their vaccinations. All adult cats, and kittens that are old enough are spayed or neutered. The adoption fees are as follows: Kittens under 5 months - $125.00 Senior cat (6+ years old) - $47.50 Senior cat to senior citizen (60+ years old) - $40.00 All others - $95.00 If there is a cat or kitten that you would like to meet and potentially adopt, please come meet them at the shelter or contact us. Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a "same day" adoption shelter. To adopt from Kingdom Animal Shelter: Complete an adoption application and authorization for release of information form and bring them to the Shelter during adoption hours or email them to adoptions@kingdomanimalshelter.com or mail them in to P.O. Box 462, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819. The application and release of information forms are available on our website or you can pick them up from the shelter during adoption hours. An adoption counselor will review your application, contact 1-2 personal references and contact your veterinarian for a reference. Additionally, if you are a renter, we will contact your landlord for permission to have an animal in the household. Please allow at least 3 business days for the process to be completed. After the review is complete, the adoption counselor will contact you, generally by email or by phone and you will be notified if your application is approved or declined. If the application is approved, you will work with the adoption counselor to work out a mutually agreed upon time and date for you to take your cat home. If there is a cat or kitten that you would like to meet and potentially adopt, please come meet them at the shelter, contact us, and/or fill out the 2 forms above and mail or email them to us.
