In the shelter’s words

?? Meet Chicago A Gentle Giant With a Heart of Gold ??Looking for a loyal, loving companion with a big heart and an even bigger presence? Meet Chicago, a gorgeous Cane Corso who is ready to find someone special to call his own. ??Don’t let his impressive size fool you—this handsome guy has a soft and affectionate side that he loves sharing with his people. Once he knows you, Chicago is the kind of dog who wants to be close, soak up attention, and remind you just how wonderful it is to have a devoted companion by your side. ???? Dog-friendly and enjoys canine companionship?? Very affectionate with the people he trusts?? Mild energy—happy to enjoy life without needing to be on the go constantly?? Walks well on leash?? Can be a little shy or unsure around new peopleLike many dogs, Chicago has a few things he’s still learning. He can be protective of his toys, so his future family should be comfortable continuing to work on appropriate resource-guarding habits through patience, management, and positive training. What Chicago really needs is someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. Give him a little time, let him come to you, and you’ll discover an incredibly affectionate dog who has so much love to give. Could Chicago be the gentle giant for you?
