Can I tell you how much I LOVE Trudy?! When I come home from work she's so happy to see me. I have to pay the Trudy love tax! Trudy is such a pretty Tortie with beautiful flecks of pumpkin and cream and white. She's veeery long with a very looong, expressive tail. At 7 months, she's older than her siblings and twice as big. Trudy will shower you with love, but she calls the shots. She wants to be with you, but she doesn't want to be smothered. Trudy is very social and she wants to live with another young cat who would enjoy her company. She'd be a great match with a number of her brothers. (see their bios on our website!) Like her brothers, she's great with other cats, dogs and kids. She's healthy physically and emotionally and litter trained without incident. She tested negative for both FIV and feline leukemia and has received age appropriate vaccinations including rabies & FVRCP. She is spayed and microchipped. There is no application fee. â Reference and Vet Check call veterinarian to verify that your current/previous pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for if you rent, weâll contact your landlord to confirm pet policies and any breed or size restrictions â Contact from an Adoption Counselor If your application appears to be a match, an adoption counselor will reach out to discuss the dog(s) youâre interested in Note: Due to high interest in some dogs, only selected applicants may be contacted. â Schedule a Meet & Greet When you're ready to proceed with a specific pup, an adoption counselor will work with you to schedule a Meet & Greet usually at the home where the dog is fostered. All household members must attend to meet the dog you're interested in. â Start the Sleepover Period After a successful Meet & Greet, youâll begin a minimum 7-day sleepover to ensure a good fit between you and the dog. â Finalize the Adoption or Return to Rochester Rascals If at any point itâs not the right match, you will return the dog to the foster home. If everyone in your family agrees to move forward with adoption, you'll: Receive a digital adoption contract via email. Complete the paperwork and submit payment. Receive a confirmation email and access the dogâs medical records. Note: adoption fees typically only cover about a third of the actual cost to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome the animals in our care
