In the shelter’s words
Meet Hector! Your Sweet, Green-Eyed Little Gentleman! Some cats demand the spotlight, and others quietly steal your heart. Hector is the second kind! This handsome, slender tabby has adorable green eyes, a sweet little face, and a gentle way of making you feel special. He's been waiting a while for his forever home, and we can't help wondering if people are overlooking him simply because he's a quieter fellow. Trust us, this boy has plenty of love and charm to share! Hector is quite the little greeter. When you come to say hello, he'll weave around your legs, give you a friendly head-butt, and make it clear that he'd be delighted to receive some pets. He's a friendly, affectionate guy who enjoys being near his people without needing to be the center of attention every minute. And just when you think he's content doing his own thing, he might hop up beside you on the couch for a cozy snuggle. Those quiet little moments with Hector are the kind that make you fall in love. He's a fan of the simple pleasures in life: a comfy place to nap, a sunny windowsill for birdwatching, a little exploring, and of course, delicious food! Hector is especially fond of wet food and may appear as if by magic when he hears a can opening. He even has the cutest little chirp to share when he's excited about a meal or waking up from a lovely nap. Who needs a noisy alarm clock when you could have Hector wishing you good morning? When it's time to play, teaser wands and spring toys bring out his fun side. He's happiest in a peaceful home where he can relax, enjoy his favorite activities, and spend time with people who appreciate his gentle nature. Hector could live with a calm, older dog who respects his space, and he may do well with gentle children who understand that cats sometimes like a little quiet time of their own. At night, Hector enjoys choosing his favorite cozy spot, whether that's his own bed or a tucked-away place under yours. But don't be surprised if morning finds him nestled beside you, offering a soft little chirp as the household wakes up. It's his own sweet way of saying, "Good morning! I'm happy you're here." Hector isn't asking for much. He just wants a home where he can feel safe, a person who will appreciate his sweet greetings and occasional snuggles, and a family who understands that love doesn't always have to be loud to be wonderful. He's been waiting long enough for someone to notice what a special boy he is. Could you be the one to give Hector his happy ending? Come meet Hector. He might just quietly, sweetly, and completely steal your heart. Adoption fee: $200, includes first 2 FVRCP vaccines, sterilized, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip

Our adopters fill out an application that screens for problems that may be detrimental to our cats and kittens. Once the adopter is approved we provide veterinary referrals which help with low cost spays or neuters for the kittens that are too young at the time of adoption. We are always available to help with behavioral issues that arise. We provide numerous information sheets in our adoption folders, plus the medical background of each cat. The only fees involved with our program are adoption fees that offset our veterinary bills.
