In the shelter’s words

Meet beautiful girl, Kiwi! Kiwi is a young, medium-sized Lab with a heart that&#39s just waiting for the right person to help it shine. While she may be a little shy when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places, patience and kindness are all it takes to see the incredible dog hiding beneath her cautious exterior. Once Kiwi feels safe, she transforms into the sweetest, snuggliest &#34Velcro dog&#34 you&#39ll ever meet. She loves being close to her people, soaking up affection, and will happily curl up beside you for all the cuddles she can get. Born we believe in 2023 and weighing just under 40 lbs, Kiwi is both house trained and crate trained, knows her basic commands, and has wonderful manners around the home. She&#39s still working on her leash skills, so she&#39ll benefit from an adopter who is willing to continue building her confidence and training through positive reinforcement. She gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful, confident canine companion. Kiwi takes comfort from other dogs and often looks to them for reassurance, making a dog friend an important part of her ideal forever home. She also does well with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to give her space while she settles in and learns that they are worthy of her trust. Kiwi has a medium energy level and enjoys a nice balance of playtime, walks, and relaxing with her family. Her perfect adopter will be patient, experienced, and willing to let Kiwi adjust at her own pace. Give her the time she needs, and she&#39ll reward you with unwavering loyalty, endless snuggles, and a bond unlike any other. If you&#39re looking for a gentle soul who just needs a little understanding before becoming your biggest fan, Kiwi is ready to find the loving forever home she&#39s been waiting for. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this deserving girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.
