In the shelter’s words

ANNIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!! Name: Annie Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd/lab mix Best Guess for Age: 8 months as of September 2026 SEX: female Estimated Weight: 40 pounds as of 9/21/26 - she is likely still growing! Gets Along With: Other dogs! She has also lived with kids. We haven't seen her with cats but are happy to discuss integration techniques with any interested adopters. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Annie is Looking For: Hi! The seven of us - Ace, Alice, Apollo, Aspen, Ava, Angel and Annie - have loved our time in the puppy pile, but we have all split up to get our own homes. I'm looking for one where I get to explore the world by the side of my humans, burn all my young-dog energy in romps, make new pup pals - and go to dog school so I can show how super smart I am! In exchange I promise love and loyalty for all my days. What do you say? Do you have room in your home and your heart for me? Special Adoption Considerations: Because Annie is more comfortable with another dog around, she'll need to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. What My Foster Says About Me: Annie has gotten so brave and confident. She loves playing with our dog but also on her own, especially the puzzle games. She has mastered sit, working on “leave it” and “wait”. Potty training is ongoing. She’s a very quick learner. She’s great with kids, very patient, and so cuddly! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
