In the shelter’s words
DOB: 7/16/2022 Once upon a time, there was a lovely cat named Glenda, a gentle soul who had once wandered the outside world in search of kindness and comfort. She is not a dainty little kitten, but a regal lady of four years, with the grace and presence of a queen. Glenda is an easygoing companion who prefers lounging beside her humans, soaking up the warmth of their company, and reminding them that life is best enjoyed at a calm and steady pace. She doesn’t need a kingdom, just a cozy home and a family who will love her for the loyal and sweet companion she is. Her story is ready for its happy ending. Could you be the one to write the next chapter of Glenda’s fairytale? Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**

We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $125 for kittens 6 months and younger; $75 for kittens over 6 months and adults up to 7 years; $50 for 7 years and older. If adopting 2 kittens/cats at the same time there is a $25 discount. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), microchip, flea prevention, vaccinations (FVRCP for cats and DHLPP for dogs), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies are old enough to receive a rabies vaccine). If not, the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done.
