In the shelter’s words
THIS animal listing is a COURTESY LISTING - not a 13th St Cat Rescue animal. See information about whom to contact in bio THANK YOU London is a handsome 5-year-old neutered American Shorthair with beautiful brown and black tabby markings and expressive golden-green eyes. We've had him since he was an 8-week-old kitten, and he's been a beloved part of our family ever since. London is an indoor-only cat and has excellent litter box habits. He has always used his litter box consistently and has never had issues with accidents. His personality is a fun mix of playful and relaxed. He enjoys chasing toys, exploring around the house, lounging in sunny spots, and keeping an eye on what's happening around him. He's especially fond of spending time near his people, whether that's supervising work from a laptop, loafing in the hallway, or stretching out on the floor after playtime. London can be a little protective of his home and the people he loves. Once he's comfortable, he's affectionate and enjoys pets, attention, and interactive play. He would likely do best with someone who understands that he may need a little time to warm up to new people and environments. Since welcoming our baby, we've unfortunately had much less time to dedicate to playing with him, so he's become a bit heavier than his ideal weight. With regular play sessions and activity, we think he'll easily slim back down. We're looking for a home where London can receive the attention, playtime, and companionship he deserves. We truly believe he'll thrive with someone who can give him the time and consistency that's become difficult for us during this season of life. Quick Facts: 5-year-old neutered American Shorthair Indoor-only Excellent litter box habits Playful, curious, and loves lounging ❤️ Affectionate once he knows and trusts you ⚖️ Slightly overweight from reduced activity, but otherwise healthy ‍‍ Best suited for a home that can give him regular attention and interactive play Please contact Devin McCray devin.mccray001@gmail.com to learn more!

Plan a visit with the source organization
To meet our rescued cats/kitten: we ask that you fill out an adoption application first. Once you submit an application, a volunteer will contact you. All of our kitties are in foster homes; some can be seen at the foster homes, or at an upcoming Adoption Fair. We ask for your understanding: We are an all-volunteer organization and many of us have full-time jobs outside of our volunteer activities; therefore, it may be a few days before someone can respond to your email. We always try to reply as soon as possible. The kitties are for adoption, not for sale. Adoption fee for kittens is $125 ($200 for two) to help cover some of our food and veterinary expenses. All cats and kittens are: vaccinated as appropriate for their age microchipped dewormed deflead tested for FELV (feline leukemia) / FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) spayed/neutered prior to adoption We will ask you some questions about your home and we will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Adopting a kitty is a long-term commitment; the average life span for a kitty is 15-20 years. Most of our cats are in foster homes with other cats. They get lonely and bored without the company of their own kind, just like people. We try to place cats that enjoy the company of other cats in a home where there is feline companionship. But we do have many cats that would be happy to be the only cat in your life! Regardless of how an animal comes to us, we provide food, shelter, and medical care. The animals do not live in cages but in volunteer foster homes. We usually know the personalities of the cats and kittens we rescue, so we can tell you which cat or kitten(s) might be the best match for you and/or the feline companion you already have. http://www.13thstcats.org/info/adoption
