In the shelter’s words
Oriana is a beautiful 1½-year-old Boxer mix weighing approximately 41 pounds, with a sweet heart, a curious nature, and a playful spirit. This lovely girl has so much affection to share once she feels comfortable enough to let you in.Meeting new people can bring out a mix of hesitation and excitement in Oriana. She’s interested in making friends but can be a little nervous about taking that first step. Give her a moment to get to know you, and once she realizes you’re a friend, her loving personality shines through!Oriana loves playing with other dogs and enjoys the fun and companionship of canine friends. Her playful side is a joy to see, and her curiosity keeps her interested in the world around her. She’s looking for a family who will give her gentle reassurance as she settles in and enjoy getting to know the affectionate, fun-loving girl behind those slightly shy first greetings. Oriana is still new to us, and we’re enjoying getting to know her sweet personality! We can’t wait to share more about this lovely girl as we discover her favorite things!Could Oriana be the sweet new friend your family has been waiting for?

Plan a visit with the source organization
Potential adopter fills out a form with info on preferred dog as well as what they're looking for in a dog, plus a vet reference among other things. I call them and discuss the dog(s) they're interested in, as well as any dogs I feel would be a good fit. We set up a meet & greet with all human and dog members of the family. If all goes well, an adoption fee is paid, a contract is signed, and the family goes home knowing they can call/text me at anytime for help if needed.
