In the shelter’s words

GINGER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Ginger Best Guess for Breed: Beagle Mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of Sept. 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 24lbs as of Sept. 2026 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster Ginger is Looking For: Her forever home! Beagles are delightfully stubborn, hilariously quirky, and have such strong personalities! Ginger is looking for a home who can let her shine (and take her on plenty of long, sniffy walks) with all her beagle adorableness. What do you say? Is Ginger the one for you? What My Foster Says About Me: Ginger loves to spend time outside, sniffing and saying hi to other dogs. Inside our home, she's still shy and jumpy, but less so with each passing day. She sleeps in her crate for 8 hours at night without any accidents, and is also good about staying in her crate for a few hours during the day, as long as she can spend adequate time stretching her legs and walking outside in the open air. She is having fewer and fewer accidents in the house. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog . Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.
