Meet this handsome senior soul who is ready to find his forever home. This 10 year old German Shepherd may be blind, but he does not let that slow him down one bit. He is incredibly sweet, gentle, and deeply devoted to his people. Once he knows you are his person, he sticks close and soaks up every bit of affection you are willing to give.He loves spending time outside, enjoying the fresh air, familiar scents, and peaceful moments. Around the house, he is calm, well mannered, and content just being near his humans. Orry is a quick learner of new spaces once he has a chance to explore. He thrives on routine, kindness, and reassurance, and his quiet presence brings a lot of comfort to those around him.His start to life was very hard, and he experienced more than any dog ever should. Despite that, he has an amazing heart and so much love left to give. In his foster home, he is learning what safety, consistency, and love truly feel like. With his foster humans and canine siblings, he has blossomed into a trusting, affectionate companion.He is looking for a patient, loving home where he can feel secure for the rest of his days. Plan a visit with the source organization
Once we receive your application an adoption counselor will take a look and reach out with any questions. The team will check personal, vet references and check with your landlord if applicable. Your adoption counselor will then set up a time to talk with you and your family (or anyone else involved in the adoption process in your home). This call is a good time to ask any questions you have. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster of the PIP(s) you are interested in. From start to finish, this process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week (so please be patient!). If everything goes well and you and the foster agree that the PIP you want to adopt is a good fit, we will then finalize the adoption. Adoption fees are $325 for adults and $375 for puppies. All dogs will be up to date on age appropriate vaccines and spayed / neutered if old enough. If not old enough adopters can come back to our vet to have it covered in fee. It must be done by the time the dog is 6 months old.
