Meet Liberty! She’s a beautiful 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy! Liberty stands out from her siblings with her striking looks, including one bright blue eye and one warm brown eye. Her unique appearance gets plenty of attention wherever she goes.Liberty is a playful, energetic puppy who enjoys staying busy and checking in with her person during outings. She does well on leash and would love a home that can provide daily exercise, training, and plenty of opportunities to build confidence.Liberty can be cautious in new situations and is a bit nervous in the car. With patience and encouragement, she cautiously explores new places and continues to make progress.While Liberty would do best as an only dog, she can live with other dogs, but she’s particular when it comes to canine friends. With calm dogs, she’s shown that she can coexist and has even started to show some interest in engaging. We require all interested families to come in to the shelter and meet the dog or dogs that they are interested in (unless they meet a dog at an adoption event). We have a very thorough application which they can fill out and return to the shelter - we do not provide applications on line. We check vet, personal, and landlord references (we require a signed letter from the landlord and confirmation via phone call that pets are allowed). When an application is approved, we set up a meet and greet if there are other animals in the household. If not, the kids are ready to go home. We encourage all potential adopters to spend as much time with the dog(s) as possible before they head home, and an adoption contract is signed before the dog(s) go(es) home.
