In the shelter’s words
Meet Dahlia, a 5-year-old, 35-pound bundle of happy-go-lucky goodness who is still waiting for someone to notice just how special she is. Dahlia is a victim of Black Dog Syndrome — that unfair little phenomenon where black dogs get overlooked in shelters simply because of their color. And after coming from a hoarding situation, this girl deserves to be seen, loved, and celebrated for the wonderful dog she is! ❤️ What's not to love? Dahlia is: Spayed and housetrained Good with dogs AND cats Good with kids Even good with birds! Happy-go-lucky and ready to bring sunshine into your life! At 35 pounds, she's the perfect size for adventures, couch cuddles, and being your new best friend. She's got the kind of heart that doesn't care what color her fur is — she just wants someone to love. Dahlia doesn't need a makeover. She doesn't need to change her color. She just needs YOU to look past her black coat and see the beautiful soul underneath. Let's show this girl that her past doesn't define her future. She's waited long enough for her chance to shine! Don't let Dahlia be the one you scroll past. Be the reason her story finally has a happy ending! ADOPT DAHLIA — because black dogs deserve happily-ever-afters, too!
